Zeiko Lewis scored the Boston College winner in their 4 – 3 victory over SMU at the Newton Campus Field, Newton, Mass.
In front of 764 spectators, Junior Lewis recorded the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute, Lewis made a spectacular run with the ball from midfield, taking on any defender that tried to stop him, and then beat the keeper.
Senior Atobra Ampadu scored Boston’s first two goals just 25 seconds apart to give them a 2-1 lead in the 24th minute. It was his first two-goal game at Boston College, Lewis assisted on Ampadu’s second goal of the match.
Freshman Simon Enstrom also had a goal and an assist in the triumph, while Sophomore Cedric Saladin made one save in goal and is now 3-0-0 to start his Boston College career.
