Recently Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) Trials for the South of England were held at Eton College for Under 16's and Under 18's.
There was a very large turnout this year and competition was fierce however to the credit of the school Jacob Merrick, David Carruthers have made it into the final 32 squad for the Under 18's whilst Knory Scott has made it through to the final squad for the Under 16's with Josh Goldin making the reserve list.
Scott was the first Bermuda Football Association’s National Academy player to enroll at Bedes in 2013 after the school was recommended by the National Academy Director. Several additional players have joined Scott at Bedes this year.
This is a testament to the strength of the Bede's Football programme and an excellent achievement by the individuals concerned.
Bede's Head of Football David Caryer said, "This will be an outstanding opportunity for the boys involved to play against professional academy players and play at facilities and stadiums which are very impressive.
"These kind of experiences can only help develop our players whilst also giving other members of ours squads not involved a long term aspirational goal of achieving the same recognition for their hard work and ability."
