Thomas College with their Bermuda Eight played Castleton to a 1-1 draw after 110 minutes of game time at Thomas College's Smith Field.

Eight of Bermuda’s Young Footballers are playing for the Thomas College Men's Soccer team. The eight include, Winston Trott, Zeon Robinson, Mikal Simmons, Marcus Johnson, London Steede-Jackson, Tre Ming, Khamisi Lightbourne and Chris Godfrey.

Steede-Jackson scored the lone Thomas goal on the afternoon.

The match had a high intensity from the opening whistle with both teams scrapping to get the early lead. Thomas College had the first opportunities of the match, forcing Castleton goalkeeper Dan Palker into making a pair of saves in the thirteenth minute.

In the 37th minute, a defensive lapse led to an open net opportunity for Thomas when a Castleton defender tried to clear a cross, instead deflecting it on goal. Max Hansson looked to have a goal opportunity but his header clipped off the post and out of play. The match was scoreless at halftime.

Thomas College didn't waste any time to take the lead after the break, scoring a goal just four minutes into the second half. Dakota Duplissie delivered a pass to a streaking Steede-Jackson who lofted the ball over Palker to give Thomas College a 1-0 lead.

Castleton nearly responded just minutes later when Spencer Dandurand's shot was cleared from the line. Goalkeeper Trott had the ball jarred loose in the box after colliding with a teammate, and Dandurand collected the ball, sending a shot on target. However, Duplissie headed the ball from the goal line to make the defensive save.

In the 62nd minute, it looked like Castleton had equalized the match when Jake Tietgens cross was struck home by Owen Fellows, but the goal was disallowed as Tietgens let the ball go out of bounds.

With just over 19 minutes remaining in regulation, Castleton finally broke through when Dandurand grabbed his fifth goal of the season. Bryce Kaler played a through ball into the box that Dandurand gathered and curled in past the Trott to tie the game at one apiece.

Thomas College nearly grabbed pulled off a stunner with two minutes remaining in regulation as Duplissie fired a shot on goal that was saved by Palker with a diving effort that ultimately would send the match to overtime.

In the first overtime, Thomas College continued to pressure the Castleton defense, and in the 91st minute they had a chance to grab the victory. Kyle Fletcher delivered a cross in the box that found an open William Nilson. Nilson volleyed a rocket towards goal that flew just wide of the net.

Castleton ended the game on the counter attack, taking three shots with one save in the final 14 seconds. Dameon Young stole the ball near Thomas' goal and had his shot blocked. Alex McCormick recovered the ball, putting a shot on target that Trott would deflect away.

Trott recorded three stops in goal for Thomas and is now 4-1-1 on the season. Palker made nine saves for Castleton and moved to 2-4-1.
