Djair Parfitt-Williams and his West Ham Under 18 Academy teammates twice battled back from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Chelsea and maintain their unbeaten start to the Barclays Under 18 Premier League season.
Their undefeated record looked in grave danger when Chelsea's Tammy Abraham put the hosts 2-1 up with nine minutes left to play, but Jordan Brown levelled with his third of the season to earn a point.
There was action both at the start and the end of the game, with Chelsea establishing a lead for the first time with just three minutes on the clock.
Abraham delivered low and Kyle Scott was lurking to turn the ball beyond Clarke Bogard in the Hammers goal.
Chelsea had an Isaac Christie-Davies goal ruled out for offside shortly after, but West Ham grew into the contest and Brown made goalkeeper Bradley Collins work with a shot which he watched into his hands.
It remained 1-0 at the break, but West Ham were level before the hour as a spell of pressure culminated with Marcus Browne lashing a volley home via the underside of the crossbar.
Brown and Kieran Bailey both went close as West Ham created the better openings, but it was Chelsea who moved back in front through Abraham, who steered Charlie Wakefield's cross beyond Bogard.
West Ham were not finished though, and Brown ensured the points would be shared, as he accelerated away from Fikayo Tomori and drilled under Collins to score an 85th minute equalizer.
