Marco Warren, Triston Hall and their Flagler College Soccer teammates scored two goals late in the second half to come away with a 2-2 double-overtime tie with No. 9 (NAIA) Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in a Men's Soccer Season opener for both teams at Saints Field.
The match drew a record 1,032 fans as the new grandstand was opened. The standing room only crowd filtered to behind the south goal.
Jonny Cosgrove headed in a cross from Simeon Wickli with just 10 second left on the clock in the second half to knot the game.
Flagler College out-shot Embry-Riddle in the two extra periods 5-3, but neither team found the back of the net for the golden goal.
Warren knocked in Hall's header to get Flagler on the board in the 77th minute. Hall had another header just one minute earlier that was stopped by Embry-Riddle defender Viktor Hafsteinsson.
Veit Couturier scored the first goal of the game and assisted on the second to give Embry-Riddle a 2-0 lead at the half.
