Djair Parfitt-Williams and his West Ham United teammates continued their unbeaten start to the Barclays Under 18 Premier League season with a 3-3 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
West Ham stormed into an early two-goal lead through Jordan Brown's deflected shot and Emmanual Onariase's header, before Joe Pritchard and Luke Amos levelled the score at 2-2 by half-time.
Spurs then turned the game on its head by going ahead when Josh Onomah fired into the corner, but Brown netted his second of the game to grab a point for the home side.
U18 boss Steve Potts again named a youthful team as Under 16 pair Marcus Browne and Noha Sylvestri lined up together in the center of midfield, whilst England Under 18 defender Kyle Knoyle captained the side from left-back.
After a very even opening ten minutes, it was West Ham that created the better attacking moves, with Parfitt-Williams and Grady Diangana utilizing the gaps in the Spurs midfield.
On 12 minutes, West Ham was ahead, Browne worked hard in the midfield to win back possession for West Ham, allowing Fatia Adebayo the chance to play the ball into the feet for Brown. After taking one touch on the ball, the former Arsenal striker fired his shot into the corner of the net via a deflection.
Just five minutes later, the home side doubled their lead. West Ham won a corner out on the right and it was Onariase who rose highest in the box to head past stranded Spurs 'keeper Harry Voss.
Going two behind gave Spurs the kick that they needed to start being more fluid with their attacking moves and they got a goal back just five minutes later. Right-back Anton Walkes was given time and space to run towards the West Ham back line and he found Pritchard in the box, who took two touches before slamming the ball past Sam Howes.
Spurs grew with confidence with their goal and could have grabbed their equalizer with two chances, but Onomah and Pritchard could not keep their shots on target. West Ham did have a golden chance to re-establish their two-goal lead on 38 minutes through another whipped corner from Diangana, but Adebayo could not keep his header from six yards down.
Spurs were rewarded for their pressure before the break, however, when they won possession and launched a quick attack, with Amos being on the end of the attacking move to place into the far corner.
After half-time, both sides came out determined to gain the upper hand on their opponents. It was Spurs that went closest to pushing themselves ahead on 52 minutes when West Ham goalkeeper Howes acrobatically tipped Pritchard's header onto the crossbar.
The visitors began to gain control of the match and grabbed their third goal on 65 minutes when Onomah was again allowed time and space on the edge of the box to rifle a low shot into the corner of the net.
Just a minute later, however, West Ham pulled themselves level when Brown found space to dig a low shot past Voss, despite Kyle Walker-Peters' best efforts to clear off the line. Brown could have claimed his hat-trick straight after but, after running several yards and beating the last defender, he could not keep his shot down.
The draw keeps West Ham unbeaten in the Southern Division this season after a win and two stalemates.
