The Bermuda Football Association’s Academy group featuring the 2001-2003 Boys and Girls from the 2001-2003 birth year continued their training Camp at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
The enthusiasm remained high, with the players eager to get into the training sessions. The morning schedule for the group entailed:
7:00-8:00 AM - Breakfast 9:00-11:00 AM - Training with BFA Coaches - Crossing and Finishing 11:30-12:20 PM Lunch
The morning session focused on the area of crossing and finishing. This is a good progression from the heading session on Day 3 and allowed the coaches to gauge which players were implementing the instruction from the previous day. The focus point for the crossing and finishing included:
Preparing the Ball and the Body to cross Picking out the target and delivery of the ball Attacking the ball with the right surface Picking your spot (target area)
Following lunch the afternoon schedule entailed:
1:00-2:00 PM - IMG Lecture Presentation - Mental Toughness 2:30-4:00 PM - Training with the IMG Coaches - Attacking through the flanks 5:00-6:00 PM - Dinner 6:30-7:30 PM - IMG Camp Matches

The afternoon session with the IMG coaches on Attacking Through the Flanks covered:
Using width to stretch the opponent Switching the point of attack (ground) Use of the overlap Diagonal Balls (air)
Following dinner the players had a chance to test themselves against the other IMG campers in evening matches. These matches are serving as preparation for the official games on Saturday against area teams.
