The Colombian goals were scored by Edward Bolaños in the 8th minute and Edwin Cetre in the 53rd minute for the South Americans.
With this result, Colombia advances to the next round and will face the United States, while Bermuda bowed out of the competition.
After just to 8 minute, Colombia took the lead from a corner, Bolaños outjumped the Bermuda defence from a corner and headed the ball pass Trott the Bermuda goalkeeper.
In the next few minutes the Bermuda squad managed to contain better Colombian squad and the game became more closed.
The second half started better for the Colombians who just like at the beginning of the game were in control.
In the 41st minute Colombia were awarded a penalty which was taken by Bolaños, but Trott was able to save the spot kick.
Bermuda made several substations with Aaron Simons in for Burgess and Symonds came on for Furbert. Ahria Ahria Simons replaced Lowe.
Bermuda looked to counter attack but a harsh challenge on Bascome by a defender resulted in a Bermuda winning a free kick.
Columbia were forced to play down the left and the crossed ball was met by Cetre who made it 2 – 0 in the 53rd minute.
Bean-Lindo replaced Bascome, as Columbia enjoying the majority of the possession and had a shot on goal saved again by Trott who was outstanding between the sticks.
