Yesterday the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) announced the players and officials comprising the Bermuda Men’s Under 20 team who will compete in the Caribbean Football Union Under 20 World Cup Qualifiers.
One players name was noticeably missing, that being Stoke City goalkeeper Dale Eve.
www.islandstats.com asked the Bermuda Football Association for a response to the reason behind the omission of Eve from the Squad.
Bermuda Football Association’s Player Development Committee Chairman Mark Wade who is also the Head of Delegation on the trip sent a response to www.islandstats.com regarding Eve.
Wade states, “As a policy the BFA does not comment on specific player omissions or additions. The squad released represents the team that will carry the Bermuda Flag through this first stage of the WC qualifiers and we anticipate they will do Bermuda proud and continue the progress that has been made over the last 3 years. We look forward to the team advancing to the next round of competition and expect the competition for places to be robust and very keen. With those in the training squad challenging for a spot in the team.”
