Gavin Manders was presented with the International Tennis Federation Davis Cup Commitment Award.

Manders was honored during the Davis Cup in Asuncion, Paraguay, back in June of this year where the Bermuda team was competing in Americas Group Three.

37-year old Manders has been playing Davis Cup tennis since 2004 and this is the fifteenth time he has competed in the tournament, a Bermuda record he shares with Jenson Bascome.

Manders also retired from the NatWest International Island Games with a total of 14 medals after winning two more in Guernsey.

Also in June of this year Manders became Bermuda’s most qualified tennis coach, he completed the International Tennis Federation Level 2 coaching badge for advanced players in Valencia, Spain.
