World Archery in cooperation with Olympic Solidarity has selected Jaydon Roberts and Robin Selley based on their results from recent international/continental regional events, to travel to Medellin, Colombia for a Youth Training Camp from September 25th, 2023 to October 1st, 2023.
Both archers competed in the World Youth Championships in Ireland in July 2023 where they achieved personal best of 619/720 Jaydon and 536/720 Robin. They also competed in the Paris 2023 Hyundai Archery World Cup in August 2023 and the two had new personal best of 622/720 Jaydon and 566/720 Robin.
Coach Trina Roberts said, “Our Juniors have had a fantastic year competing in both Junior and Senior Events. The Paris 2023 Hyundai World Cup in Paris is where they both beat their July 2023 personal best at 70 meters shooting against seniors, the best in the world. Both have world rankings finishing up the outdoor season. Roberts has a world ranking of 228 in the Men’s Recurve Division and Selley has a world ranking of 304 in the Women’s Recurve Division. The maturity in this sport for these athletes has been great to watch. The training in Colombia will help elevate their game and prepare them for the 2024 season.”
