Bermuda would capture 3 Medals on Day 1 of the 4th Pan American Kung fu Championships in the City of Markham and the Province of Ontario.
Kaelin Cox captured 2 Gold Medals during Day with placing first in both +18 years Traditional Southern Openhand and Traditional imitation form (monkey).
Errin Cann also captured a Silver Medal in Group C Female Changquan.
9 of 11 San da athletes went on to win their opening fights to advance to the next round of competition on Day 2, Cox, Tristan Robinson, Harrison Selkirk, Geraldine Sitters, Che Beane, Enzi Johnston, Muryah Swan, Krista Dyer and Kallan Todd secures wins and will be competing in Day 2 of the championships.
Quennel Robinson amd Cole Durham will have their first taste of competition on Day 2 after receiving a bye in Day 1.
Garon Wilkinson finished 4th in +40 years Traditional Openhand after suffering an injury early in his routine. Wilkinson, along with the other four forms competitors are due to competition on Day 2.
