In the Elimination First Round of the Men’s Recurve Junior event, Roberts took on Bruno Alejandro Lopez from Peru.
In the first two six points match, Lopez won the first game 25-24 to take a 2 – 0 lead, game two saw Lopez win 30 – 26, and then Lopez won the third game 27-25 to advance.
