The Premier, E. David Burt, tabled a Tribute to Sir Everton Weekes for the information of the House, during The House of Assembly Session.
Sir Everton Weekes, who died on July 1st, 2020, at the age of 95 years, was an internationally renowned cricketing great, a native of Barbados, and one of the trio of West Indian batsmen known as “The Three Ws”.
On July 3rd, 2020, the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community paid tribute to Sir Everton Weekes, who was accorded a reverential one minute’s silence.
