www.islandstats.com can confirm that the Sports Awards scheduled for Saturday March 14th at the Fairmont Southampton has been Postponed.
This decision comes after Premier David Burt held a press conference to update the public on Covid-19.
During his speech Premier Burt stated, “There are no confirmed cases in Bermuda at this time, but taking steps to prevent any possible community spread. All Government public events will be cancelled for the next 4 weeks, and event organizers/sporting bodies who are scheduled to have events with more than 50 people are urged to postpone their events.”
Youth & Sports officials would only say they have been advised that the Sports Awards have been postponed and a new date will be set in the very near future.
