Wenda & Clifford Roberts IslandStats.com A group of Bermuda Triathletes competed in Ironman Arizona.
Louise Wells competed in her first Ironman was 2nd in the Female 45-49 Age Group in a time of 10:33:07. Wells completed the Swim in 1:18:08, she then clocked 5:22:20 on the Bike Course, before completing the Run Course in a time of 3:39:54.
Marie-Lyne Dore was 4th in the Female 35-39 Age Group Division with an overall time of 10:27:59. Dore clocked 1:03:46 on the Swim, 5:24:15 on the Bike Course and then 3:46:40 on the Run Course.
Kevin Ronaldson also competing in his first Ironman, finished 52nd in the Men’s 35-39 Age Group Division stopping the clock in a time of 11:27:18. He recorded a Swim time of 1:07:35, 5:34:12 on the Bike Course and the he clocked a time of 4:31:06 on the Run Course.
Chris Eaton finished 57th competing in the Male 50-54 Age Group Division with a time of 12:08:11, Eaton clocked a time of 1:37:03 on the Swim, which was followed aby a time of 5:45:21 on the Bike Course, before closing out with a time of 4:10:47 on the Run.
Clifford and Wenda Roberts also competed, Clifford Roberts crossed the line in a time of 12:31:56, finishing 134th in the Male 45-49 Age Group Division. Clifford Roberts clocked a time of 1:24:56 on the Swim, he then clocked 6:07:21 on the Bike and then closed out with a time of 4:31:12 on the Run Course.
Unfortunately Wenda Roberts was pulled from the race, Wenda Roberts said, “Soooo disappointed today. Pulmonary Edema set in really bad at 2000 meters of the Swim. I was determined to doggy paddle to the finish but got pulled out by the doctor onboard the medical boat to ambulance. Wasn’t meant to be..... again.”
Dianna White and Geoff Smith both recorded did not finishes.
