Conor White, 19, participated in the Mossport Classic, which is part of the Ontario Cup Series, White would win the Elite 3 Men’s 76km race.
The Road Race took place around the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
White represented NCCH P/B Franklin Templeton Investments, the race involved 20 laps in rain and only 3 degrees Celsius.
The pack was together for the first three laps, then there was a small breakaway group for 1 lap. White bridged across on Lap 4, and then White was in a three man breakaway group including Derek Carroll and Jack Padega for many of the remaining laps, eventually lapping the main group.
With 2 laps to go Padega dropped off the breakaway group and then on the final lap, White managed to break away from Carroll to take the win by 31 seconds, with a time of 2:07:06.
KADEN HOPKINS
Kaden Hopkins competed in the Sqauwker Road Classic hosted by his Fort Lewis College Cycling team.
There were two crashes in the race in the narrow first turn after the start/finish line, as multiple Fort Lewis College including Hopkins and Colorado Mesa riders went down. After some finger-pointing, most riders resumed the race, though a couple Mesa riders had to be treated by paramedics with some pretty rough road rash. Hopkins was eventually pulled from the race.
ROBIN HORSFIELD
Bermuda National Mountain Bike Champion Robin Horsfield competed in the Substance Projects Sausage Suit ITT Half Marathon Mountain Bike event in Canada.
Hordsefield finished second with a time of 1:14.57, in the Under 20 Category, Oscar Clarke would get the better of Horsfield when he was clocked at 1:14:47.
