Following an Advisory Commission for Olympic Selection (CCSO) meeting recently, under the chairmanship of Bernard Amsalem, Deputy Vice-President in charge of the high-level of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), Vanessa James and her partner Morgan Cipres were included in the France team selection for Olympic Games in Pyeongchang which runs from February 9th – 25th 2018.
She heard the presentation made by the French Ice Sports Federation after she selected her athletes which included James and Cipres.
OHCC has submitted these proposals to the CNOSF Executive Office. The letter has validated this first list of selected.
James is recovering from a fall, during a training session 30-year-old James was injured as they have stepped up their preparations, James said, “We have to take risks" to compete with the best, in a bid to remaining technically better.”
According to our information, James was dropped in training on a quad launched, injuring her left shoulder.
James will spend some time at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance (INSEP) to rest and receive the necessary care.
James and Cipres participation in the Olympic Games in South Korea is not called into question while their return to the competition is likely to occur, in all likelihood, at the European Championships from January 17th to 21th.
