JONTE SMITH

Jonte Smith and his Lewes teammates moved up to sixth place and are now outside the play-offs only on goal difference, but had to settle for a point against Faversham in a game of few chances at the Pan reports Tom Harper.

Lewes started brightly and saw Smith have a goal disallowed inside the first few minutes, as he was correctly ruled offside after converting a Brotherton cross from close range. Lewes continued to play most of the football against a physical Faversham side as the half progressed, and were unfortunate to see Okoh hit the side-netting from a difficult angle after an impressive passing move in midfield.

FREDDY HALL

Freddy Hall missed the limerick’s defeat at the hands of Cork City with a broken nose. Cork City secured a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Limerick FC in the first Munster derby of the season at the Markets Field courtesy of goals from Sean Maguire, Garry Buckley and Georoid Morrissey.

ROGER LEE

Roger lee and his Loughborough Dynamo slipped further into the relegation mire after a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Despite playing more than half the game with ten men, Dynamo could feel disappointed with not taking something out of the game.

DALE EVE, JAYLON BATHER, DANTE LEVEROCK, TAVAHN TYRELL & SHAUN GOATER

Ilkeston players have chosen not to play their Evo-Stik League Northern Premier match against AFC Workington due to outstanding wages issues.

Ilkeston captain Matt Baker issued a statement on an Ilkeston fans’ forum after the players’ decision not to travel to AFC Workington.

“Today was the day no one wanted to happen,” it read.

“The players made the decision that things had to change, players have been beaten into this situation due to a lack of wages and communication.

“We were given hope weeks ago and, unfortunately, this hasn’t materialized yet; the players want to play but felt this situation needed to come to an end and hopefully this will help.

“I believe that the chairman [Nigel Harrop] is working hard to solve the problems and will be speaking to us on Monday to resolve this situation.”
