A room full of former Executives of Clubs around Bermuda, along with other sporting and community organizations were all in attendance for the Men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity 2017 Symposium which was arranged to focus on “Evaluating the Role of Sports Clubs in Bermuda.”
Some members of the audience asked questions about Alcohol Sale and the Smoking of Marijuana during games, others were interested in what the clubs are doing for the protection of young people.
Somerset Cricket Club President Alfred Maybury and St. George’s Cricket Club President Neil Paynter both made the appeal for the community to get involved in clubs.
Devonshire Colts President Ray Jones who has been instrumental in bringing the club Presidents together on a regular basis said, “We are sharing information between each other and we are looking to support each other as we recognize that together we would be stronger.”
