Fans were treated to 3 exciting games at the Bermuda College Gym as the Bermuda Futsal Federation’s Men’s League continued with a total of 36 goals scored.
In game 1, league leaders Atletico had their hands full with the Somerset Trojans jumping out to an early lead 5 - 3 at half-time. Atletico came storming back into the game applying high pressure and was able to outscore Somerset 5 - 1 in the second half to win the game at the end 8 - 6. Dashun Cooper was MVP for Atletico with a string of fine saves. Idress Furbert was outstanding for Somerset Trojans with 2 goals.
In game 2, fans were treated to another close game between Simplemente Futsal and Footy Force. Footy jumped out to an early lead and at half-time were up 4 - 1. Simplemente found their scoring touch in the second-half with 4 goals to Footy's 3, but Footy ended up with the overall victory 7 to 5. Nathan Rego was outstanding for Footy scoring 4 goals with Shaun Brown MVP for Simplemente with 1 goal.
Game 3, was another nail bitter between Hamilton Parish and St. George's Colts. Hamilton Parish jumped out to an early lead in the first half scoring 4 goals to St. George's 1. The second-half was a different story with St. George's outscoring their opponents 3 - 2. However, they fell just short and Hamilton Parish was able to hold on to win 6 - 4. Chris Caisey was MVP for Hamilton Parish scoring 2 goals. David Signor was outstanding for St. George's with 2 goals.
