West Pembroke defeated Elliot Primary School in convincing fashion in the Bermuda School Sports Federations 2016 Primary School Girls Super 8s Cricket Tournament at the National Sports Center.
The defending champions won the toss and elected to bat scoring a massive total of 99. Tele Simons retired on 25 while Kx'yae Gibbons chipped in with 19 and Keidel Astwood scored 13. Elliot never got the run rate going and could only manage 46 in reply during their six overs
West Pembroke scored a big tally in their Semi-Final after scoring 96 against Harrington Sound Primary School. Gibbons led the winners with 22 while Astwood added 20 and Ariez Gilbert 19. Harrington Sound scored 59 in reply. Amarley Raynor scored an unbeaten 21. Layla Perry Burrows added 18 and Samai Dunn added 17.
Elliot restricted East End Primary to 32 runs in their Semi-Final. Brazil Cann led the East Enders with 6. Elliot reached target scoring 33 runs in three overs. Myeisha Sharieff led the team with 8.
