Bermuda Olympian Arantxa King has begun her bid to attempt to Qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
King has competed in two Indoor Meets to get the year underway, she also competed in two different events.
During the George Mason Patriot Games in Fairfax, Virginia, King finished third in the Women’s 60m Preliminary Heat #2, she crossed the line in a time of 8.16 advancing to the Semi-Finals.
In Heat #1 of the Women’s 60m Semi-Final, King finished 6th clocking a time of 8.05, she did not advance to the Final.
King was in more familiar territory during the Penn State Tune-Up Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track Meet when she competed in Women’s Long Jump.
King recorded a top leap of 5.82m to finish third behind Dannielle Gibson who won the event with a leap of 5.91m and Mariah Tousaint finished second in 5.85m.
