Minister Holds Meeting with BCB & Time Change

A meeting was held involving the Minister of Sports Patricia Gordon Pamplin, Members of the Bermuda Cricket Board that included representation from the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association and the Bermuda Police Service to discuss issue revolving around Cricket.

In an interview Neil Speight the Bermuda Cricket Board CEO revealed that a meeting did take place to address some social ills that have made there way into the sport, Speight said out of the meeting a discussion will be had with Club, the BCB has asked for advice from the Bermuda Football Association and taken some of their procedures onboard to tackle the problem before it escalates any further.

Minister Gordon Pamplin believes some of the climate is a spin off the way Politician have been behaving or mis-behaving. Gordon Pamplin sees some hope and believes Sports can be a source in which people can come together.

Meanwhile the Bermuda Cricket Board announced that the BCB Cricket Committee has confirmed that all 50 overs matches from September 5th will start one hour earlier (10am) to accommodate the earlier sunset times:

September 5th – Champion of Champions / Premier Division Game
September 6th – Premier & First Division Games
September 12th – Champion of Champions
September 13th – Premier Division Games
September 19th – Play-off Game
