The 2015 World Police and Fire Games in Fairfax, Virginia USA came to an end with members of the Bermuda Police Service winning 5 Medals. A total of 22 officers from the Bermuda Police Service attended the Games.
The Bermuda Police Service members competed in four different sports – Bowling, Golf Track & Field and Athletics winning 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal.
As islandstats.com reported earlier PC Junior Warner won the Men’s 30-34 Age Group High Jump Gold Medal in Track & Field with a top leap of 1.80m, another Track & Field Medal was captured by PC Stephen Allen who clocked 4:18.50 during the Men’s 30-34 Age Group 1,500m for his time Allen picked up the Bronze Medal.
Allen picked up a Silver Medal during Athletics when he finished second in the Men’s Cross Country 30-34 Age Group that covered 5,000m, he clocked a time of 16:46.
Inspector Tracy Burgess picked up a Silver Medal during the Women’s Individual Golf Tournament, while PC Shannon Trott and PC Adam Mattatall picked up a Silver Medal in the Unisex Teams Scratch Golf Tournament.
