Warwick Academy had all four of their players in the Under 16 Semi-Finals of the Bermuda School Sports Federations Senior School Boys Badminton Tournament.
Number 3 seed Benjamin Barnett pulled off an upset in defeating top seed Brady Cordeiro 15-12 in their Semi-Final, while number 2 seed Sam McKittrick defeated number 4 seed Sean Tucker 15-12 in the other Semi-Final.
Barnett then made a comeback to defeat McKittrick 20-18 in the Final after going down big early in the match.
Cordeiro and McKittrick then teamed up to win the Doubles tournament with a 15-10 win over the Saltus team of Aaron Nelson and John Ewles.
The Warwick Academy pair defeated schoolmates Barnett and Tucker 15-10 in their Semi-Final, while the Saltus pair defeated the Saltus 2 team of Conor White and Luke Stirling 15-7.
MSA's Evan Moseley defended his Over 16 Title with a 15-9 win over Jacques de Verteuil from Warwick Academy in the Final. Moseley knocked off Warwick top seed Adam Smith in their Semi-Final 15-11 while de Verteuil defeated Saltus top seed Liam Evans 15-13 in the other Semi-Final.
Warwick Academy's Aidan Thorne joined forces with Jordan DeShield to defeat MSA pair Moseley and Pedro Araujo 15-8 in the Doubles Final. The Warwick pair defeated Evans and Sebestian Dill 15-11 in their Semi-Final, while Moseley and Araujo edged past the Warwick pair of de Verteuil and Smith 16-14.
