Warwick Academy swept all four Medals in the Individual portion of the Bermuda School Sports Federations Senior School Girls Badminton Tournament at Warwick Academy.
Caroline Alexander came from behind to defeat Melanie Soares-Chan in the Under 16 Final 15 - 13. Alexander defeated Emily Sinclair of Mount Saint Agnes 15 - 10 in their Semi-Final, while Soares-Chan edged by Kelly Simmons from Saltus 15 - 13 in the other Semi-Final.
Squash star Tiye Willams breezed past all opposition in winning the Over 16 Girls Tournament. She defeated teammate Sophie Redmond 15 - 7 in what turned out to be her closest match. Williams cruised past Zhanae Simmons of Saltus 15 - 4 in their Semi-Final while Redmond defeated Saltus' Kennesha Nannette in the other Semi-Final 15 – 13.
Warwick kept their winning streak in the Doubles Tournament when Swimming sensation Madelyn Moore teamed up with Maegan Ooi and they defeated the Saltus pair of Laura Hope and Kelly Simmons by a score of 15 - 13 in the Under 16 Division.
The Warwick pair defeated the MSA team of Emily Sinclair and Kennedy Cordeiro 15 - 7 in their Semi-Final, while Saltus defeated the Under 16 Individual finalists Alexander and Soares-Chan in the other Semi-Final.
Saltus didn't go home without any Gold Medals after the pair of Kennehsa Nannette and Lara Hall defeated the CedarBridge Academy pair of Micah Pond and Symira Lowe-Darrell 15 - 6 in the Finals of the Over 16 Doubles competition. The Saltus team defeated the Warwick pair of Tiye Williams and Sophie Redmond in their Semi-Final, while CedarBridge pair edged past the Saltus team of Zhanae Simmons and Tajante Wainwright 15 - 11 in the other Semi-Final.
