Paul Mittermeier has been in the broadcasting industry for over 20 years. Paul overcame a tragic amputation to become an established and respected member of the media in the Baltimore sports market. Paul has experience virtually every aspect of broadcasting including producing, engineering and on-air experience in numerous sports. Paul has been the play by play/color announcer for UMBC sports and the Baltimore Blast for over a decade. He has worked the biggest events in sports, including five Super bowls and the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Paul spent eight years working for the Baltimore Ravens Radio Network. His duties there included Pre and Post game host and In-game Sideline Reporter. Paul has been a talk show host since 1999. He has hosted talk shows on CBS Radio, WCBM radio, Fox Sports Radio, WNST radio and Sirius/XM radio. Paul’s career has also taken him outside of the traditional “broadcast industry”. Paul spent two years as the assistant Public Relations Director for the Baltimore Stallions. He was also the Director of Communications for the Island Soccer League during which time he was also in charge of Game Day Operations.
Paul is currently the Vice President of Global Communications for Bascome Enterprises. He is also the Director of Communications for the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation and is responsible for coordinating the foundation’s Gala each year. He is also responsible for bringing all 32 NFL players into Baltimore for the foundation’s event. Paul continues his play by play/color duties for UMBC he hosts the Pete Caringi, Aki Thomas and Don Zimmerman coaches shows and does play by play/color for the Baltimore Blast. Paul also works for the Baltimore Ravens as a statistician and interviews Ravens players for the Baltimore Ravens quote service on game day. During the lacrosse season Paul hosts Inside College Lacrosse with lacrosse great Casey Powell on Sirius/XM radio.
Paul currently lives in Abingdon, Maryland with his wife Nanette and daughter Mary Gen.
