Danté Leverock, has signed for United Soccer Leagues side Harrisburg City Islanders after impressing coach Bill Becher during some preseason trials.
Leverock spent a bit of time working with the Baltimore Blast in the indoor game before making his way down to Harrisburg for trials on the advice of Baltimore Blast assistant coach David Bascome.
Leverock has been a part of Bascome’s Power of One programme that is active at the TN Tatem Middle School as part of Bascome Enterprise.
Leverock when he left Bermuda to try and fulfill a dream of becoming a Professional Footballer, he was a striker, but once he was in England, he was turned into a central defender, which has seen him make the Bermuda National Football team scoring Bermuda’s first goal in the 2018 Russia World Cup CONCACAF Qualifiers in the Bahamas.
Leverock speaking with Islandstats.com said, “I just want to establish myself as a regular, not the guy that either starts on the bench or is always substituted in games.”
Before the Bermuda second leg match at the National Sports Center, Leverock visited the TN Tatem Middle School to speak with the Power of One students to share his good news of signing his professional contract.
