Earl Hart, will be honored later this year with the news that the Caribbean Union of Teachers will name a Football Tournament after him.
Dwight Jackson from the Bermuda Union of Teachers made the proposal during a regional meeting and it was voted unanimously in favor.
Jackson said, “We just felt to honor Mr. Hart while he was still alive was the right thing to do, he has contributed so much to many and honoring him this way was just another way to recognize his contributions.”
Hart who was also instrumental in helping to start the CARFITA Games said, “I did not expect any of this, what ever I do I never expect any perks coming back, I do it because I love it, I just try to inspire many people.”
