Five Somerset Cricket Club members were today given a helping hand toward Education with funds received from the Clyde Best Scholarship Golf Tournament held earlier this year.
Best a Bermudian icon recognized globally as the man who helped break the color barrier in English Football when he made an appearance for West Ham United has been honored by his local club the Somerset Cricket Club on several occasions.
Alfred Maybury the President of the Somerset Cricket Club said, “These Scholarships are just another way to honor a man that has achieved great things, I hope these young men that are receiving these Scholarship funds understand the reason for something like this.”
Jaz Rattery-Smith, Greg Maybury, Joshua Gilbert, Justin Donawa and Ras Stafari Burrows shared a total of $10,000.00.
