Wells Disrespected by Bradford City Fans

IslandStats.com
Nahki Wells travelled to Preston North End to watch his former teammates from Bradford City play, but as some reports suggest Wells departed before half time and did not return due to a few comments being made by a few Bradford City fans.

Most Bradford City fans have reacted badly for the way Wells was treated, here are just some of the comments.

giveusani wrote - Nahki came & sat within three seats of me, he was with one other person. He did get a bit of a na na nar Nahki Wells Nahki Wells chant.

He then got a chant of nahki's a dog sha99er, nahki's a dog sha98er etc.

He was sat on the next but one to the isle seat & there lots of people coming up & down the stairs to see it was him.

Quite a few talked to him, some shook his hand & had a photo etc but there was also quite a few different people up & down the steps call him a judas c**t & some called him a greedy b*****d & that sort of thing, it wasn't just one, it was probably nearer a dozen separate ones.

It definitely happened like I explain it as I heard it all first hand. He then left 1 minute before half time & didn't return.

Bronco wrote - That's exactly how I saw and heard it giveusani good reception then the idiots started, complete f****g morons, once again the few made their point enough for the lad to leave and not return second half shame we can't treat our past players with a little more respect.

Peaks Bantam wrote - Can't believe that some are questioning his sense in sitting with the City fans. In an era when players seem to fail to understand what it means to be a football fan how refreshing to see Nahki sitting with the fans of his former club, and one that he clearly still holds dear in his heart. Let's be real, the guy gave us two Wembley appearances culminating in a promotion. Without him we'd still be languishing in league 2 so he will remain a hero of mine whatever the circumstances of his departure.

Bantam Jay wrote - I really cannot stand some of our fans. Especially on our travels. Absolute morons some of them.
Fair enough if you don't like how he left us, doesn't mean you have to shout abuse at someone who gave us some of the best moments in our history.
Nahki didn't grow up as a City fan, therefore he was never going to turn down a club who has offered him 10x as much money he was on just because they're our rivals.
Huddersfield were the only club who made a bid that was acceptable to the club. The club made it clear they wanted him out in the January transfer window.

Bozzie wrote - It was nice to see that he felt he could come and sit with the Bradford fans but not so good when he appears to have been driven away from the game by some of those same fans.
