Bermudian Hugh Hollis has guided his Coast Valley Soccer Club Under 19 Boys team to the final round of 16 in the Southern California League Cup.
His Coast Valley Soccer team (CVSC Renegades) is based in Santa Barbara California and plays in the Southern California Coast Soccer League.
The Southern California Coast Soccer League is one of the Premier Youth Leagues in the country. It has over 180 clubs and more than 2000 teams participating.
The tournament is started with a preliminary round and then goes to an elimination format. The games are played at Coast Soccer venues throughout Southern California which covers and area from San Diego California in the South to Bakersfield.
Coach Hollis grew up in Bermuda and played his youth soccer at Dandy Town Sports Club. He moved to Southern California in 2001 and has been with the current group of players for the last 4 years.
He also coaches Girls Varsity Soccer at Dos Pueblos H.S. in Santa Barbara. The elimination round of 16 begins on November 15th in San Bernadino California.
