The Somerset Cricket Club and the Somerset Community honored Clyde Best with the renaming of the former Broome Street to Clyde Best Lane.
Minister of Community, Culture & Sports Wayne Scott, along with a host of other dignitaries and politicians attended the Ceremony, with an emotional Best thanking everyone involved.
A large crowd of family and friends and football fans both young and old were on hand to witness the historical event.
Best, was one who helped to pave the way for black footballers to play in the English Leagues, when he suited up for West Ham United between 1969 and 1976, playing 218 games.
