Verdet Kessler, Australia’s number one Badminton player, who’s mother Verniece Benjamin-Kessler was Bermuda's leading dancer 1970's – 1987 went down in her Second Singles Match at the Commonwealth Games in straight sets.
Taking on Kirsty Gilmour from Scotland, Kessler went down in the first set 21-14 in 15 minutes, she then went down in the second set 21-5 in 12 minutes.
