The Bermuda Gymnastics Association (BGA) held their first Annual Olympic Day Celebration at their St. David’s location.
Forty-One Recreational Class Children participated and competed as if they were on the Bermuda Gymnastics National Team.
Each Female Ggymnast learned a routine and displayed their talents on Vault, Bars, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise. The Male Gymnasts performed on Floor Exercise, Vault, Rings and Parallel Bars. Levels of Gymnastics were beginner all the way to the Intermediate Level.
National Team members Tabby Hofheins, Zantae Dill, Danny Wall and Sydney Mason acted as judges while other Jr. team members flashed scores.
The competing Gymnasts were recognized for their hard work by receiving a certificate or participation and a medal. Competitors were ages 4-12.
Approximately 80 Parents, aunts, uncles and cousins cheered their little gymnasts on.
The event was a fundraiser for new equipment for the Recreational Class program.
Olympic day was the celebration of the end of the class season. Bermuda Gymnastics will now be moving to their summer camp schedule.
