The Bermuda School Sports Federation held the Senior School Girls Badminton Tournament at the Warwick Academy School Gymnasium.
Cedarbridge Academy's Micah Pond won the Under 16 Girls Badminton Title with a 15-11 victory over Nicole Kansakar from Saltus Grammar School. Pond had earlier defeated Shannon Mahoney from MSA 11-7 in their Semi-Final, while Kansakar defeated MSA's Tah-Naesha Astwood 11-8 in the other Semi-Final.
Pond teamed up with Symira Darrell to win the Doubles Tournament, they defeated the Saltus pair of Kansakar and Savannah Loder 15-11 in the Final. Pond and Darrell defeated the Saltus pair of Katey White and Zakiyah Durham 11-5 in their Semi-Final while Kansakar and Loder edged by the MSA duo of Mahoney and Catarina Correia 11-9 in the other Semi-Final.
Eva Frazzoni from Saltus won the Over 16 title with a 15-12 win over Susana Armano from Warwick Academy. Neither faced much competition in their Semi-Finals as Frazzoni blanked Amber Lopes from MSA 11-0 and Armano defeated schoolmate Bernadette Cabrera 11-2.
Frazzoni teamed with Kenesha Nannette to win the Doubles tournament defeating Lopes and Ciara Rego 15-9 in the Final. Lopes and Rego defeated Dashae Darrell and Jordan Masters from CedarBridge 11-7 in their Semi-Finals while Lopes and Rego defeated Armano and Cabrera 11-6 in the other Semi-Final.
