Babson College outscored Emily Dunne and her Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Women's Lacrosse teammates 8-1, in the second half as it went on to record a 13-4 victory in the NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse. Sophomore Kira Schott paced MIT with two goals, an assist, six groundballs, and six draw controls. Babson College were led by junior Rachel Secrist, who racked up six goals, an assist, five groundballs, and two caused turnovers. Secrist opened the scoring with a free-position shot after 3:11 expired and after some back-and-forth play MIT sophomore Isabella DiDio evened the score at the 22:59 mark. Less than a minute later Secrist put Babson in front however, MIT quickly scored the equalizer when junior Lyndsy Muri converted a feed from Schott. Another Secrist marker kept Babson College ahead for good as her solo effort came with 19:01 on the clock while senior Misha Beatty gave the visitors some breathing room in a span of 90 seconds. Schott cut MIT's deficit in half (4-3) midway through the frame but this was as close as it would get as Beatty set up sophomore Kayla Farina for the final goal of the half with 7:19 remaining. Back-to-back goals by sophomore McKenzie Tucci increased Babson's advantage to 7-3 at the 23:23 mark of the second stanza. After earning the assist on Tucci's second marker, Secrist found the back of the net seven minutes later. Farina's solo blast moved the score to 9-3 with just under 14 minutes left to play before Secrist struck again shortly after the ensuing draw. Babson College then registered their seventh straight goal courtesy of freshman Christine Gill's unassisted effort, increasing the lead to 11-3 with 9:07 on the clock. After being held scoreless for 37 minutes, the Engineers broke through on a Schott strike with 7:27 to go. Secrist and Beatty then provided the final tallies of the day during the final 5:34 of action. DiDio collected a game-high eight groundballs in addition to two draw controls and two caused turnovers. Sophomore Christine Jiang generated two caused turnovers while junior goalie Candice Kaplan totaled eight saves for the Cardinal and Gray. Beatty recorded two goals, two assists, and three draw controls as Farina posted five groundballs. Freshman Katie McKenna chipped in two draw controls while senior goalie Julie Baharestani compiled 11 saves.
