Shelley Pearson and her Harvard University Women’s Heavyweight Row Varsity Eight teammates placed second in the Henley Women's Regatta, falling to University College Dublin in the final of elite eights racing.
Pearson and her teammates had a first-round bye in the competition and defeated Thames/Henley by 1½ lengths. Harvard then raced University College for the Sport's Council Cup in the final race of the regatta. It was a tight contest that saw University College secure the trophy by a half-length.
Harvard’s second varsity eight raced, advancing to the quarterfinals with a lopsided win by five lengths against Reading before falling to Molesey Boat Club by three lengths. Newcastle University won the senior eight event to claim the GP Jeffries Cup.
