Limestone College Golf Announces Signing of Seven for 2012-13 Head Limestone golf coach Nick Biershenk has announced the signing of seven student-athletes for the 2012-13 season, including Scott Gilbertson.
A four-year member of the Montverde Academy golf program, Gilbertson was the Bermuda Junior Season Champion as a freshman and sophomore. As a junior he won the first of two Bermuda National Junior Championships and was named the Most Improved Player at the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy.
Head Coach Biershenk said, “Gilbertson will be the only lefty on this team. He spent his high school career at the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy. Any player coming out of there has been under some very good instruction and Gilbertson knows what it takes to be the best at this level. The way he scores around the greens is fun to watch. He has great hands and can get it up and down from anywhere. He is a very hard worker and will be a leader on this team.”
