After an hour delay due to rain, the Bermuda – Cayman Island match kicked off, Bermuda Goalkeeper Detre Bell was called upon twice inside of a minute to deny the Cayman Islands from taking the lead, but he could do nothing in the 23rd minute when Mark Ebanks beat the offside trap and beat an advancing Bell.
In the 65th minute, Kole Hall would equalize for Bermuda, a good build-up saw the ball switched from left to right and the cross was then turned home by Hall from six yards out.
The young Bermuda team would have to consider themselves lucky on the night as Cayman missed several chances to get themselves the winner in the second half.
