Nahki Wells and his Bristol City teammates cranked up their attacking intent to beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 and go joint top of the Sky Bet Championship.
The Owls were impressive in the first half but couldn’t find a breakthrough, while City responded with second-half goals from Tommy Rowe and Jamie Paterson to round off their super September start in style.

Eva Frazzoni and her Gamla Upsala SK Dam Women’s teammates who play in Sweden’s Division 1 Norra Svealand, defeated Stensätra 7 - 1.
Gamla Upsala got two goals from Carlsson Lundberg and Tuva Bergman, while Celina Karlsson, Moa Mattsson and Julia Wanglund all added a goal each. Ann Självmal scored the lone goal for Stensätra.
AALIYAH NOLAN
Aaliyah Nolan and her Leeds Women’s teammates held on for their first win of the season thanks to a Laura Bartup goal in the 13th minute.
The hosts were at it from the off when Bartup had a goal disallowed after just a minute for handball.
Durham then went close on two occasions, first through Crosthwaite and then Purdham as they looked to take control of the game.
Leeds took the lead on the 13th minute when Bartup fired home her second goal for the club since signing in the summer, following a smart free-kick move.
WILLIE CLEMONS
Willie Clemons and his Dalkurd teammates drew 1 – 1 at home against Akropolis.
Filip Sjöberg gave Dalkurd the lead in the 9th minute, but Mauricio Albornoz equalized for Akropolis in the 53rd minute.
DJAIR PARFITT-WILLIAMS
Djair Parfitt-Williams and his Fylkir teammates defeated KR Reykyavik 2 – 1.
Fylkir took the lead in the 32nd minute when Orri Hrafn Kjartansson scored, but Oskar Orn Hauksson equalized in the 48th minute for Reykyavik.
The winner came in the 90th minute when Sam Hewson scored an injury time penalty kick.
