Glyn Hodges has confirmed that Nathan Trott is staying with AFC Wimbledon after the close of the transfer window.
Hodges said, “Trott will continue his loan spell with us after joining from West Ham last summer and our manager believes that he will bring good competition for the number one spot with Joe Day having signed for Wimbledon earlier this week.”
“We are delighted that Nathan is able to stay,” continued Hodges. “On Monday when we signed Joe Day, a couple of things could have happened. Trott could have gone back to West Ham and moved to another club on loan, or he could have helped out with their own goalkeeping situation. He missed the game on Tuesday as we thought something would happen, but he has come back and told us that he wants to fight for his place. With Trott and Day, we have two top goalkeepers at an important stage of the season.”
