A few days ago it was reported that Motherwell was interested in Bermuda International striker Jonte Smith.
But in a report in the Daily Record written by Mark Pirie Reporter & Sports Editor, Motherwell Manager Stephen Robinson has rubbished talk of a January swoop from Cheltenham striker Jonté Smith - admitting he doesn't have a clue who the player is.
Smith has scored four goals for the League Two outfit since signing for the Robins in September.
Robinson said: "I don't know who 'Smith from Cheltenham' is if I'm being totally honest with you. I'm not any closer to getting anybody in.
The Cheltenham Preview to their match against Oldham Athletic stated that Smith was back in training following an illness, but not included in the team for the match.
