Scott Barnes took to the Daytona Raceway Track albeit a day later then he wanted due to inclement weather, but on the Track he went none the less.
Barnes competed in the World Karting Association’s Road Racing Daytona Kart Week competing in two shortened races.
In a field of 39 Karts on the Stock Honda F2 Class startline, Barnes finished 4th in the first race when he was clocked across the line completing 7 laps 4 one hundredths of a second behind the winner Steven Rougeou. Rougeou was clocked across the line in 15:47.056, while Barnes had a time of 15:47.442.
Barnes did not finish in the 125 Shifter Sprint Class, during the 3rd lap Barnes’ chain broke.
