NAHKI WELLS

Nahki Wells’ teammate Ebere Eze's ice cool penalty earned QPR a well-deserved draw at Derby County.

Eze made no mistake from the spot after Bright Osayi-Samuel was upended in the box, cancelling out Martyn Waghorn's sublime opener.

Rangers pushed hard for all three points with Wells coming off the bench in the 79th minute but ultimately had to settle for one.

JONTE SMITH

Jonte Smith and his Cheltenham Town teammates missed the chance to be in the hat for the FA Cup Third Round after losing 3-1 to Port Vale at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Reuben Reid’s first Cheltenham Town goal put the hosts in front but an eight-minute hat-trick from Tom Pope turned the game on its head.

Smith who came off the bench in the 82nd minute saw a close range header saved on the line by Scott Brown, as the game started to fizzle out for Cheltenham Town.

MILAN BUTTERFIELD

Milan Butterfield and his Kidderminster teammates were defeated 1-0 by Southport as their struggling run in National League North continued.

There was no let-up in work-rate and graft from the players in Russ Penn’s first game in charge, but the team were beaten by a solitary second-half goal after failing to deal with a cross that Devarn Green turned home on 72 minutes.

OSAGI BASCOME & JUSTIN DONAWA

Justin Donawa started, while Osagi Bascome started on the bench as Darlington were defeated by a second half hat trick by Marcus Dinanga after leading 2-0 at half time at home against Telford United.

Darlington took the lead on 18 minutes, Michael Liddle worked a corner with Adam Campbell, then struck a low ball into the box where a defender’s clearance rebounded and fell for Alex Storey to turn home from a few yards, his first for the club.

It was 2-0 on 31 minutes, Stephen Thompson, out on the right, played the ball infield for Jack Lambert, who helped the ball on into the path of Donawa, who fired in his stride into the roof of the net.

But Dinanga scored goals in the 46th minute, 77th minute and the winner came in the fifth minute of stoppage time, Darlington were caught pushing up. A clearance was picked up on the half way line, and the ball was played through for Dinanga to beat the Darlington goalkeeper with a left foot shot.

AMAR LEWIS

Amar Lewis and his Harlow Town teammates couldn't muster enough to come back from two first half goals, despite Tayo Oyebola's early second half strike.
