On her way to victory in the Xterra World Championships Flora Duffy became the first athlete to win the title for the fifth time in Kapalua, Hawaii.
Duffy clocked a winning time of 2:49:24, while Lesley Paterson was second in 3:03:36 and Helena Erbenova was third stopping the clock in a time of 3:04:38.
Duffy led from start to finish, she clocked a Swim time of 21:19 that covered a distance of 1.5-kilometer (1-mile) that started at D.T. Fleming Beach in front of the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.
Duffy then covered the 31-kilometer (19.2-miles) mountain Bike Course that climbed 3,500 feet up and down the lower slopes of the West Maui Mountains in a time of 1:38:45.
Duffy then closed out with a time of 47:52 over the 10.5-kilometer (6.5-miles) Trail Run.
