In front of a crowd of over 4,000 people in the stands, Mexico took the lead in the 25th minute when Uriel Antuna and the lead was doubled in the 45th minute when Jose Macias scored to take the 2 – 0 lead to the break.

At the start of the second half Calon Minors replaced Jalen Harvey, Harvey was injured in just before the break leaving Bermuda with 10 men on the field when the second goal was scored.

In the 53rd minute Mexico went up 3 – 0, after a Bermuda corner, Mexico raced up the field and Macias was on hand to score from close range.

But minutes later the crowd came to life again, Bermuda had a corner which Zeiko Lewis found Nahki Wells and his left footed strike beat Rodolfo Cota in the Mexico goal.

The three goal lead was restored in the 61sth minute when Hirving Lozano scored to make it 4 – 1. Mexico had a chance to go up 5 – 1 when they were awarded a penalty for a hand ball in the box, but Lozano hit is spot kick against the upright.

The goal of the game came moments later when a short corner saw Hector Herrera blast find the back of the net beating Bermuda goalkeeper Dale Eve.
