Bermuda's European Footballers Round Up

Nahki Wells

Nahki Wells and his Queens Park Rangers teammates rose to within a point of the Sky Bet Championship play-off places thanks to an emphatic 4-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

After 15 previous winless encounters against Rovers, this was QPR’s first success over the Lancashire side since 1999 – and the first at home since way back in 1993!

However, that record was sent tumbling in west London, where Wells got the ball rolling for the hosts with the opening goal in the 30th minute.

Nathan Trott

A superb first-half display was just enough for Nathan Trott and his AFC Wimbledon teammates to secure a morale-boosting three points today.

Goals in the first half an hour from Marcus Forss, Paul Osew, and Mitch Pinnock marched Wimbledon into a commanding lead, but it was a different game in the second-half as Rochdale came back into it. The 3-2 victory was certainly merited for a highly impressive first-half display, Rochdale's second goal coming with virtually the last kick of the game.

Reggie Lambe

Reggie Lambe and his Cambridge United teammates survived a second half fightback by Macclesfield Town as Sam Smith’s late header earned them a second consecutive Sky Bet League Two draw.

United led for much of the game through Jack Roles spectacular effort in the first half, but saw the game reversed midway through the second period by Theo Archibald and Arthur Gnahoua before Smith completed a 2-2 scoreline.

Jonte Smith

Ryan Broom's fifth goal of the season earned Jonte Smith’s Cheltenham Town a share of the spoils after an entertaining match at Oldham Athletic.

It perhaps says something about the progress under manager Michael Duff that the result was tinged with some disappointment at the final whistle.

Justin Donawa & Osagi Bascome

Both Donawa and Bascome started this FA Challenge Cup match against Leamington on the bench, but they reach the last qualifying round for the first time as a fan-owned club.

With Darlington leading 1 – 0 and in the 88th minute, Jarrett Rivers got into the box and found Donawa, who turned quickly and beat the keeper in his bottom corner.

Willie Clemons

Willie Clemons would score the first for Bodens BK in their Sweden Division 1, match against Sandvikens IF.

Bodens Bk and Sandvikens IF played to a 2 – 2 draw.
