The Canadian Optimist Nationals concluded with five sailors from Bermuda Ava Adams, Sophia Dias, Laura Hupman, Amelia Lewis and P.D. Rodrigues all able to show why Team Bermuda is ranked third in the world.
Due to a lack of wind on the Final Day, the Bermuda Sailors all finished in strong positions, Hupman finished in 2nd place with 14 Net Points and won the Girls Fleet racing, she finished 8 points back from the winner Thomas Desrochers of Canada.
Adams finished in 6th with 25 Net Points, while Lewis was two places back in 8th with 31 Net Points, Rodrigues finished in 9th with 32 Net Points and Dias finished in 22nd with 67 Net Points.
